Peritonsillar Abscess

A paritonsillar abscess is an infection of the neck.
Symptoms include sore throat, fevers, change in voice and drooling.
Findings include swelling on one side of the throat around the tonsil.
Treatment includes antibiotics and drainage of the abscess, usually with a needle or a small incision.
